THE DIASPORA NEXT GEN COHORT
In his book The Next Evangelicalism Dr. Soong-Chan Rah (himself a 2nd Gen Korean ) writes: “The second generation, with their unique ethos and strength, along with those in our churches who have cross-cultural, liminal experience, will be the ones best equipped to face the next stage of the church.”
Empowering the next generation is a critical part of our mission at the Diaspora Network. If you’re a 1.5 or 2nd gen youth or young adult and interested in the cohort, fill out the interest form at the bottom of the page to be kept in the loop for the next round of applications. 2025 NEXT GEN COHORT
These are the faces of our current cohort! Cohort participants are based in Houston and Austin, and meet once a week on Zoom. Taken all together, we’ve got members from the following cultural and ethnic backgrounds: Puerto Rican, Cuba, Taiwanese, Filipino, Ethiopian, Yoruba (Nigerian), Canadian, Congolese, and Indian.
So far, here’s what some of them have said about being part of the program…
